One of the best parts of decorating for Christmas is decking out your Christmas tree with the lights, accessories, and of course, your favorite ornaments. Whether you love to mix-and-match, or you keep it nice and simple, ornaments eventually hold a soft spot in your heart.
Though we know many Christmas ornaments symbolize the warmth and togetherness of the holiday season, they can also serve as a commemoration of other occasions.
The time for giving has once again arrived, with Thanksgiving leading the charge for a holiday season that could (possibly) help us forget the woes of 2020.
The holidays are upon us and because this year has been a doozy, holiday cheer is exactly what we need to close it out. Though many of the holidays we’ve celebrated this year have been stifled under quarantine mandates, the loosening of restrictions have come just in time.
For fifty years, Gorham has been making the holidays a
little merrier and brighter with the production of their annual silver
snowflake Christmas ornament. Each year, Gorham fans eagerly await the roll out
of the new snowflake to see how it differs from earlier designs.
Like nature’s snowflakes, no two ornaments are alike.
Families collect each new ornament and eventually pass their treasured
collections on to the next generation. For many, it would not be Christmas
without a beautiful Gorham Silver Snowflake hanging from the branches of the
family tree, perfectly reflecting its twinkling lights.
Custom Silver Christmas Gifts From Silver Superstore
Even with 364 days to prepare, most people fall behind on holiday gift shopping. They forget to allow time for baking, menu planning and finding something to wear to the office party. They forget the amount of effort required to make decorating look effortless. They forget that items sell out, and they have to start all over.
If this describes you, then you’re in the right place.
The holidays are a happy time. Unpacking ornaments and holiday décor brings back memories of family moments spent together while planning parties and fancy dinners give you the chance to use your decorative tableware including your high-end flatware and sophisticated china.

Beautiful Bells To Adorn Your Tree This Holiday Season
Christmas bells ring in a season of joy, happy memories and closeness with family and friends. They go hand in hand with the aroma of baking gingerbread, the crackle of logs on the fire and the twinkling of lights on a decorated tree. It just wouldn’t be Christmas without bells.
Carry on the tradition by making finely crafted bell ornaments a part of your holiday decor.
The calendar has flipped over to June, and here at Silver Superstore that can only mean one thing: our 2017 silver Christmas ornaments have started rolling in! And as much as we love a good backyard barbecue, it’s never too early to plan ahead and get your hands on your annual favorites.
Gorham Snowflake
2017 Gorham Snowflake
This gorgeous creation is a six-sided piece of .925 sterling silver adorned with a red ribbon. This festive item is guaranteed made in the USA and is stamped Gorham Sterling on the edge. It’s the 48th in a long line of terrific ornaments crafted with Old World charm and dedication to quality. The snowflake is 3.5 inches tall and 3.25 inches wide. It glimmers in the light from the sheen of its reflective surface. The concentric hexagon pattern repeats on both sides, so it will look marvelous from any angle.
You can also adorn the Gorham Snowflake with an Engraving Tag and add a special message. Both sides can be engraved ($6.00 extra for the second side). There are 15 fonts from which you can choose. It also comes with both a protective pouch and an attractive gift box. As with real snowflakes, no two Gorham versions are the same from year to year.
We love traditions at the Silver Superstore, and love to hear about yours! Here is a special tradition from one of our customers:
Here are the Christmas crosses that I started giving my daughter in 1979. She anticipates receiving one every year. Because she now lives in Paris, she doesn’t have the silver trees I originally gave her to display them on at Christmas. Rather, they now put them on the actual tree. Also, they carefully count them as they go on and as they come off each year to make sure that none are thrown out accidentally.
My son, Matthew, who lives in Texas has the same collection which was started in 1986. Because they are closing on their new home on December 23, no trees will be up this year!!! Next year I will help them put all of their trees up, 2 silver, one real green one and the oldest of all, a very special Poor Man’s Tree that my grandfather made for my sister and me just before I was born. Thank you for your interest in the family tradition of collecting the Reed and Barton Christmas Crosses. My grandchildren will inherit some very beautiful ornaments some time long into the future.
Merry Christmas to you, your family and the staff at the Silver SuperStore.
